FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
IACV 4P (BLACK) CONNECTOR
(Wire side of female terminal)

2. IACVShort Circuit Inspection
Remove the seat (page 3-4).
Remove the trim clip and throttle body cover
(page 6.43).
Turn the ignition switch
OFF.
Disconnect the IACV 4P (Blackl connector.
Check for continuity between the IACV 4P (Black)
connector and ground on all wires.
Connection: Black - Ground
Brown/blue - Ground
Brown/yellow - Ground
Brown/red - Ground
Is these continuity
OD
all wires?
YES - . Short circuit in Black or Brown/red
L. c-'
wire.
• Short circuit in Brown/blue or Brownl
yellow wire.
NO - GOTO STEP 3.

3. IACV Circuit Continuity Inspection
Disconnect the peM 33P (Gray) connector.
Check for continuity between the peM 33P , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ,
(Gray} connector and the
IACV
4P (Black) con-
nector.
TOOL:
Test probe

Are thare continuities?
YES - GO TO STEP 4.
NO - .
Open or loose contact in Black or '--

Brown/red wire.
• Open or loose contact in Brown/blue
or Brown/yellow wire.

Resistance
Inspection
Measure
the
resistance
at the termrosrs of the
IACV 4P (Black) connector on the valve side
Connaet:lon: Black - Brown/red
Brown/blue - Brown/yellow
StandaJd: 120 -140.Q 12()QC/68°F)
Is the resistance within 120- 140
a

YES -
Replace the
peM
with
a
new one, and
recheck.
NO - Faulty IACV.
Connection: B20 - Black
B30 - Brown/blue
831 - Brown/yellow
B32 - Brown/rad
