FRONT WHEEl/SUSPENSION/STEERING
THROTTLE HOUSING
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the following :
th ree screws
- thr ottle housing
cover
- gasket
Slide t he boot off th e t hrottle cab le adju ster.
Loosen the lock nul and cab le adjuster.
Bend do w n th e lock wa sher tab and rem ove th e tot-
lowing :
- pivot nut and lock wa sher
- th rottle lev er and wash er
return spr ing
- th rottle arm tby disconn ect ing the throttle cable)
dust seal (fro m the housing bott om )
ASSEMBLY
Coat a new dust seal lip with gr ease and inst all
it
into the th rottle hou sing until it is fully seated ,
Apply g rease 10 t he throttle lever pivot i n the hou s-

ing and to the throttle cable end .
Connect the cable t o the throttle arm .
Install the washer ont o th e t nrc ure lever and insert
the throttle leve r into the throttle housing .
Install t he th rott le arm with the spring ove r the lev er
pivot by aligning t he fl at su rfaces as shown.
Install a new lock wash er and the pivot nut, and
tighten it . Bend up th e w asher tab aqninst the nul.
