ELECTRIC STARTER
Install the starter motor into the rear crankca se
cover and onto the crankcase.
Insta ll the hose guide an d mounti ng bolts, then
tighten the bo lts secu rely .
Route the ground cable and lig hte n the bo h.
Insta ll t he starter moto r cab le end termi nal nul. and
tighten th e nut.
Install the ru b ber cap ove r th e cable termi nal.
Install the rig ht engine side cover and tIgh ten the
three bo lts secu rely .
Connect the battery negative H ca ble (page 20·6).
Install t he fo llowi ng :
- right cen ter mud guard lid (page 3-7)
- right side cover (pa ge 3·5 1
STARTER RELAY SWITCH
OPERATION INSPECTION
Remove th e batterv co ve r (pa ge 20 -6l.
Shift the tr ansm issio n int o neutral.
M ake sure the eng ine stop sw itch is turned "0 "
Tur n the ig nition switch ON and push the starter
sw itch ,
The coil is no rm al
