SUB ·TRANSMISSION/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
Install the gear shah with the washer in to the crank -
case.
Install the id le year (16T) onto the gear co ll ar and
install them onto the gear shaft.
Install the idle gear (2STI and washer.
Install the rear crankcase cover (page' 2·5) .
GEAR SELECTOR LEVER LINKAGE
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the fuel tank Ipeqe 6-39 ).
Loo sen the pivot nut and remove the followi ng :
return spring
- pinch bolt
- selector arm 8
- lever/shah assembly \lrom the pivot pipe)
Remove t he p ivot nut and bolt 10 sepa rate the selec -
tor leve r from the pivot shalt .

pivot bolt and nut so the guide rod is facing toward
the punch mark on t he shah bottom.
Instal l the leve r/shah assembly while selling
the
guide rod i nto the selec to r gate slo t.
