SUB-TRANSMISSION /GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
GEA RSHIFT SPIN DLE
Check th e shifter gear and spli nes to r abnormal
wear or dam age.
INSTA LLATION
Apply locking agent to the pivot bo lt thr ea ds .
Install the spri ng, wash er (be tween th e crankcase
and arm) and stopper ar m with the holl as sho w n
and t ighten t he boll.
Install t he snap ring into th e spind le groove with th e
chamfered edg e facing t he crankcase co ver side GEAR
Insta ll th e shifter g ear wilh the index line facing the
snap rin g, ali g ni ng t he w ide gr oove w ith th e wid e
loath.
Install the gearshift spin dle and rest
it
onto th e sto p-
per on Ihe crank case.
Install t he w asher o nto the spi ndle .
Apply eng ine oil to th e shi h dru m guide q rc ovo.
Lift the sto pper arm and ins tall th e shift drum so th e
md ex line on
tho
sp indle shifter gear is ali gned
between t he punch ma rks,
Turn th e shift d ru m clo ckwise and set it in neutral
posit ion so its groove posit ion is lengthwise.
