W hen install ing t he ar mature i nto the moto r case,
hol d t he armature t ig htly to keep the magnet of t he
case fro m pulli ng t he armatu re against
it
Insta ll t he same nu m ber of shims in t he same toea -
tic n as note d during rem oval.
Insta ll a new seal ring on to the motor case.
Ap ply a thi n coat of grease to t he armature shaft
end.
Inst all t he rear cover, alig ning its groove wi t h the
brush ho lder tab .
NOTICE
I
The coil may be damaged if the magnet pulls the
armature against the case .

Jnstall th e lock was her o nto the front cove r.
Install th e fro nt cove r.
INSTALLATION
Coat

new Dring with o il and insta ll it

the starter
motor groove.
