CYLINDER/PISTON REMOVAL
CYLINDER REMOVAL
Remove the camshaft (page 9· 16).
Remove the fo llowing :
- two bo lts and ca m chain te ns to ner lifter
- gask et
- bolt and w ater p ipe
- O·ring

PISTON REMOVAL
Place a clean shop tow er ov er the crankcase to PIl: I -
ven t the piston pin clip from falling into t h e crank -
case .
Remove t he pisto n pin clips with pliers.
Push the piston pin cu t of th e piston and co nnecting
rod. and rem ove the pis ton .
