ALTERNATOR /STARTER CLUTCH
Remove the torque limiter bearings in the alternator
and rear crankcase covers, using the special too ls.
TOOLS:
Bearing remover head, 10 mm
Remover shaft. 10 mm
Rem over weight
U.S.A. o nly too ls:
Bearing remover, 10 mm
Rem over handle
Remov e r weight

Drive new bearings in with the monks tacing up .
Install the stator and CKP sensor (pag e 11-11).

Pilot, 30 mm
Blow th ro ugh the o il passage in the alternator cover
with compressed air.
Clean the cover ma ting surfaces.
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the gear teeth
and splines.
Insta ll t he reduct io n gear shah into the crankcase
and t he reduction gea r onto the gear shah.
Install the to rque limi ter .
Insta ll the two dowel pins and a new gasket.
