DTC TROUBLESHOOTING
OTe 1-' (MAP SENSOR LOW
VOLTAGE)
1. MAPSensor System Inspection
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch "0".
-
Check the MAP sensor with the HDS pocket
tester.
Is about 0 V indicated?
YES
- GO TO STEP 2.
NO
- . Intermittent failure
• Loose or poor contact on the MAP
sensor connector
2. MAPSensor Input Voltage Inspection
Remove the fuel tank left side

(page 3-6).
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the MAPITP sensor 5P (Black) con-
nector.
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch "0".
Measure the voltage at the wire harness side.
Connection: Brown
(+) -
Green/red H
Is the voltage within
4.75 -
5.25V7
YES
- GO TO STEP4.
NO
- GOTD STEP 3.
3. MAP Sensor Input Line Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the PCM 33P (Gray) connector.
Check for continuity of the Brown wire between
the MAPITP sensor 5P (Black) connector terminal
and the PCM 33P (Gray) connector terminals.
TOOL:
Test probe

Connection: B3 - Brown
Is there continuity?
YES
- Replace the PCM with a known good
one, and recheck.
NO
- Open circuit in Brown wire
4. MAP Sensor Output line Short Circuit Inspec-
tion
Check for continuity between the MAPITP sensor
5P (Black) connector terminal of the wire harness
side and ground.
Connection: Light graen - ground
Is there continuity?
YES
- Short circuit in Light green wire
NO
- GO TO STEP 5.
