Start t he engine and shih th e sub-tra nsmission
in drive pos it ion w ith the mode select sw itch at
ESP. Check t he ecceteraucn perfo rmance (creep)
w ith th e tran sm ission in the 2nd and J rd mngcs .
Does th e veh icle creep w ith the trs nsmission in
2nd and 3rd?
NO - Faulty tst shitt clutch sys tem lpage 14·

YES - Hy drau lic ci rcui t malfu nction is the

noid 2P {Black) co nnector.
Con nect a 12 V batt ery to th e soleno id te rminals.
It should o perate w hen th e batte ry is co nnec ted.
Does th e soleno id op era t e?
NO - Faulty AfT dutch press ure con trol sole -
noid .
YES - Test -rid e th e veh icle and check th e geM
positi on Indicator (pa ge 14 ·20).
