IACV
INSPECTION
The IACV is insta lle d on the th rottle body and is
ope rated by the step mo tor. When the ign ition
swi tch is tur ned ON , the lACY o perat es lor a few
secon ds .
Check th e st ep motor operating (beep) sound w ith
the ignition switch turned ON.
NOTE:
Th e IACV opera tion can be checked v isually as fo l-
lo w ing :
• Rem ove the IACV from the thr ottle body with ne
4P (Blac k) co nnecto r in place, then turn the ig ni -
tion swi tch ON.
REMOVAL
• Al w ays clean t he throttle body before the IACV
removal 10 preve nt dirt and debris from entering
the IACV passa ge.
Disconnect the IACV 4P (Black) co nnecto r.
Remove t he two screws. IACV retainer and IACV.
INSTALLATION
Insta ll new O-ring and seal pla te o nto the IACV.
Install t he IACV In to th e th rottle body while aligning
t he verve slit wi th the gu ide pin in the t hrotrla hody.
