Turn t he ign it ion sw itch ON and th e eng ine sto p
sw itc h t o the · 0".
Shift th e transmission int o neut ral.
Crank th e engine with t he sta rte r motor and read
t he ig nition co il primary peak vouaae.
PEAK VOLTAGE: 100 V
minimum
If the peak vottaqe is lowe r th an the standard value,
fo ll ow the ch ecks desc ri bed in the tr ou blesh uoting
cha rt (page 2 1-4) .

and t he spark pl ug is ins taltad cnrr ect ly in the
cyli nde r head .

Disconnect th e 33P (GraYl connector f ro m th e
Powert ra in Control Modu le l PCM ).
NOTE
• When reconnect ing th e peM 33P (Gray)
co nnec tor, check that there is no dirt and oil in
th e co nnector.

Turn th e ignit io n swi tch ON.
Crank th e eng ine w ith th e starter motor and read
th a CKP sensor peak votteqe.
PEAK VOLTAGE: 0.7 V m inimum
If t he votreqe m easu red at th e PCM con necto r is
abn o rma l, mea sure the peak voltage at the
alt ernator co nnector.
