MIKUNI CARBURETOR FLOAT LEVEL
ADJUSTMENT

Correct fuel level in float
chamber
is vital toward
maximum
engine efficiency
.
To
check
for correct float
level proceed
as
follows:
-
Remove float
chamber
and gasket from
carburetor.
- With
carburetor
chamber upside-down, measure
height "H" between float
chamber
flange rib and top
edge of float arm.
Ex.: VM 36

NOTE:
As a general rule, the float arm must be
par-
allel with the flange rib.

To adjust height "H":
-
Bend the
contact
tab of float arm until the specified
height is reached
.
The illustration below shows which part of the
carbure-
tor begins to function at different throttle slide openings.
