SCAN OPERATION
∂F scan and Fine ∂F scan (VFO mode/Memory mode)
D About the ∂F scan
∂F (Delta Frequency) scan searches for signals within
the specified range with the displayed VFO frequency
or Memory channel frequency as the center frequency.
The frequency range is specified by the width of the
selected span.

Do you have a question about the IC-7100 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
IC-7100 is two months old. Power suddenly cut off. Fuses are OK. No obvious damage internally. Can something with the control head cause unit not to power up?
Yes, a control head issue can cause the Icom IC-7100 to not power up. The control head receives power through the extension cable with shielded RJ45 connectors. If there is high resistance in the power wires or a poor connection in the umbilical cable, it may prevent the control head from receiving enough power to function properly. Reseating both connectors may help resolve the issue.
