USING AN SD CARD

Loading the saved data files that are on the SD card

The saved memory channels, Set mode item settings
and repeater lists can be copied to the transceiver.
This function is convenient when copying the saved
data, such as memory channels, or repeater lists, to
another IC-7100 and then operating with the same
data.
Saving the current data is recommended before load-
ing other data in the transceiver.

IC-7100 is two months old. Power suddenly cut off. Fuses are OK. No obvious damage internally. Can something with the control head cause unit not to power up?

Yes, a control head issue can cause the Icom IC-7100 to not power up. The control head receives power through the extension cable with shielded RJ45 connectors. If there is high resistance in the power wires or a poor connection in the umbilical cable, it may prevent the control head from receiving enough power to function properly. Reseating both connectors may help resolve the issue.
