• In the original D-STAR (Digital Smart Technologies for
Amateur Radio) plan, JARL envisioned a system of
repeaters grouped together into Zones.
• The D-STAR repeater enables you to call a HAM sta-
tion on another repeater through the internet.
• The transceiver can be operated in the digital voice
mode, including low-speed data operation, for both

IC-7100 is two months old. Power suddenly cut off. Fuses are OK. No obvious damage internally. Can something with the control head cause unit not to power up?

Yes, a control head issue can cause the Icom IC-7100 to not power up. The control head receives power through the extension cable with shielded RJ45 connectors. If there is high resistance in the power wires or a poor connection in the umbilical cable, it may prevent the control head from receiving enough power to function properly. Reseating both connectors may help resolve the issue.
