Checking Image Quality

1. Ask the customer to send images from the modalities to the IMAGER.
2. Check for image skew. If necessary, adjust the IMAGING AY (see
Adjustments And Replacements,
page
3-5).
3. Is the image quality acceptable to the customer?
Yes
Advance to
"Editing the Service
History
Log".
4. Select the "Image Optimization tab".
5. At the top of the screen, use the drop-down menu to select an SCU.
Note:
The information in the SCU field includes, in order: IP Address and AE
Title of the SCU that will send the image, and AE Title of the destination.
The parameter values on the screen apply to the MODALITY identified
in the SCU field.
You will have to do Image Optimization and Other Options for each SCU
in the drop-down list.
6. Do the following to determine if a change to a parameter is necessary.
a. Check the DICOM Log to determine what parameter values the SCU
sends down with the image. The parameter values on the screen must
match the SCU values.
