b. If the gage surface is between the steps, the medium
pin, identified by 2 rings, should be used.
c. If both steps are above the gage surface, the short
pin, identified by 1 ring, should be used.
Identification rings are located on band lug end of the
pin. Selecting the proper pin is equivalent of adjusting
the band.
