9. Remove
air
valve spring from end of air valve (if it
did not come off during disassembly of power piston).
10. Mount tool J 23101
in
vise (with small diameter
end up). Position primary power piston so that the two
radial slots
in
piston fit over ears of tool. (Fig. 5D-6)
11. Remove power head silencer from neck of power
piston tube.
12.
Fold back primary diaphragm from support plate.
Grip edge of support plate with hands and rotate in a
counttrclockwise direction to unlock support plate
from power piston.

13. Remove primary diaphragm from primary support
plate.

14. Remove air filter and pushrod limiter washer from
tubular section of primary piston.
15. Remove rubber reaction bumper from end of air
valve.
16. Using Truarc No. 2 pliers, remove retaining ring
from
air
valve.
17. Remove
air
valve-pushrod assembly from tube end
of primary piston. It is recommended that a round-
