TEMPEST AND FIREBIRD
1. Remove glove compartmentt
2. Disconnect wire connector from switch.
3. Remove plastic knob from lever.
2. Remove resistor wire connector (on top of heater
case).
3. Remove resistor (2 screws).
4. Replace by reversing removal procedure.
4. Remove switch attaching screws and switch.
5. Check for operation.
5. To install reverse removal procedure.
Blower speed is controlled by the blower motor
HEATER WIRING HARNESS
resistor. ~esistance values for t&s unit are shown on
the heater wiring schematic.
ALL-REMOVE AND REPLACE
BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR
1. Remove wire connector at blower motor, dash
ALL-REMOVE AND REPLACE
grommet, and feed through dash opening. For installa-
tion drawing, see Fig.
