PONTIAC SERVICE MANUAL
Light scoring of the rotor surfaces not exceeding
0.015" in depth, which may result from normal use, is
not detrimental to brake operation.
Since accurate control of the rotor tolerances is
necessary for proper performance of the disc brakes,
machining of the rotor in field service is not recom-
mended.
NOTE: When total rotor thickness is less than .96P
(Tempest, Grand Prix and Firebird) or 1.195" (Pontiac),
rotor should be replaced.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect hydraulic brake lines from both sides of
Fig. 5E-15 Checking Rotor for Lateral Runouf
switch. Cover open lines with clean, lint free material
to prevent foreign matter from entering the system.

Remove mounting screw and remove switch from
vehicle.
3. To install, reverse above procedure and bleed brakes
as outlined below.
