5-6-5 DC Source Selector
5-6-6 Rechargeable Battery Pack Assy (GPA)
The lithium ion rechargeable battery provides a backup mechanism to the Vivid S5 N or Vivid S6 N
system whenever an AC power source is not available. The battery module is supplied with a lithium
ion rechargeable battery pack (GPA) installed in the battery bay, as standard.
The Vivid S5 N or Vivid S6 N has built-in charger functionality (see

battery operation to AC operation and vice versa.
When shutting down the system, leave the main power cable connected to keep the battery fully charged.
NOTE: The lithium ion technology used in the system's battery is significantly less hazardous to the
environment than the lithium metal technology used in some other batteries.
NOTE: The battery is designed to be replaced every 2 years.
The battery is designed to work with Vivid S5 N or Vivid S6 N systems only. Only use the

batteries authorized by GE.
Used batteries should not be placed with common household waste products. Contact
