4.4.1 Changing the SMB battery

Action
Remove the SMB cover attachment screws.
CAUTION
Clean cover from metal residues before opening.
Metal residues can cause shortage on the boards
which can result in hazardous failures.
Pull the SMB assembly out of the SMB box.
Carefully pull out the battery and disconnect the
battery cable.
• Battery cable connector R2.G.
Remove the SMB battery.
Battery includes protection circuits. Only replace
with a specified spare part or with an ABB-ap-
proved equivalent.
