document, now retired: Carrier Remote IPE: Description, Installation, and
Maintenance (553-3001-021).

Introduction

This document provides information specific to the implementation of the
Carrier Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment (IPE) feature.
This document describes the operation of the carrier equipment and
provides specific information on how to install and maintain this equipment
as an integral part of the PBX systems and system options. Carrier
Remote IPE equipment configuration is identical to the equivalent standard
equipment. However, there are some additional carrier specific commands
that can be executed using the Man Machine Interface (MMI) terminal to
specifically control carrier equipment.

features that are compatible with Nortel Communication Server 1000
