The following topics explain the details of selecting measurement range for the power supply function.

Selecting a specific measurement range

You must set the measurement function before you can set the measurement range. If you set the
measurement range to a specific value, measurement autoranging is disabled.
To ensure the best accuracy and resolution when selecting a measurement range, use the lowest
range possible that does not cause an overflow error.
To select a measurement range using the front-panel home screen:
1. Press the HOME key and select the Range key. The Range dialog box is displayed.
2. Use the up and down arrows to select the range. The home page is displayed again with the
selected value.
To select a measurement range using the front-panel Measure Settings screen:
1. Press the MENU key.
2. Under Measure, select Settings.
3. Select the button next to Range. The Range dialog box is displayed.
4. Select the range.
If the instrument displays an overflow message, select a higher range.
You can set specific measurement ranges or allow the instrument to choose the ranges
automatically (power supply function only).
