Joining Capture-Only Systems

Two or more Lightspeed Live Capture servers can be joined together to form a multiple
server Live Capture-only system. This allows for common configuration, management,
and capture control.
To join Lightspeed Live Capture servers together, follow these steps:
1. Select one of your Lightspeed Live Capture servers to act as the master domain.
The master domain server system contains the common database and will have all
the services running on other Lightspeed Live Capture servers added to it via the
Vantage Management Console.
2. Add all services running on your Lightspeed Live Capture servers to the Lightspeed
Live Capture master domain server. See the Vantage Domain Management Guide for
details on adding services.
3. Apply the appropriate multiple-server Vantage license onto the system running the
master domain database. See the Vantage Domain Management Guide for details
on licensing.
To configure, manage, and control your Lightspeed Live Capture system, run the
Vantage Management Console, Vantage Workflow Designer, and Lightspeed Live
Capture web applications pointing to the domain contained on the Lightspeed Live
Capture master domain server selected in Step 1, above.
