4. Check the Properties for each USB Serial Port to verify that its Port Settings are set
correctly to:
Bits per Second — 9600
Data Bits — 8
Parity — None
Stop Bits — 1
Flow Control — None
5. In Advanced... confirm that Latency Timer (msec) is set to 1. For details on adjusting
this setting, see
6. Verify that the SDI Input associated with the VTR has been connected to an SDI
video source.
7. If the VTR is not connecting after performing steps 1 through 6, you can try
replacing the system cables.
After performing each step above, you can check the workflow's Monitor Status panel
to see if the Status has changed to "Initializing: VTR connected", as shown in the image
on the previous page.
When the VTR connection is successfully initialized, use the Tape Capture web app to
set recording parameters and control the VTR to ingest media from tape.
