Multiple User Access to the Capture or Tape Web Apps
When a user is logged into a Capture or Tape web application they are consuming
communication resource cycles, particularly while viewing multiple channels. When
viewed, each channel connects a thumbnail and preview stream to that instance of the
web application. Multiple users connected to the web application can degrade the user
interface performance. Therefore, care must be taken to insure that the Live Capture
Classic web application does not consume resources unnecessarily when the user
interface is not currently being used.
Close Instances of the Web Application when Not in Use
It is important for each user to close their instance of the Live Capture Classic web
application when it is not being used. Keeping multiple web applications open can
cause performance issues.
Changing the Domain
If you have changed your server's hostname, when accessing the Lightspeed Live
Capture Classic web application you should verify that it is using the new domain. You
can see the current domain name after Vantage Domain: in the right of the Title panel in
the Vantage Web app menu.
If not using the correct domain, you can change the domain by clicking on Change
Domain in the Title panel. Click OK to log out, then click Search in the dialog that
appears, select the correct domain, and click OK. Enter the user name and password to
log into the selected domain.
