Important Note Regarding Licensing Live Capture Systems
for Avid Interplay Workflows
Avid Interplay Advanced Encoder workflows require an optional license which can be
added to Live Capture standalone or Live Capture multi-node systems. When ordering
a Live Capture system to be used in Avid Interplay environments use the Lightspeed
Live Capture option part code LS-LIVE-AVID-OPT.
Required Avid Components are Installed by User or Avid
Certain Avid components are required to be installed by the user or by Avid. Telestream
cannot install or modify Interplay components or configurations.
See the
components and for more information about how to configure the Notify action and
Interplay Advanced Encoder in the Flip action.
Single Resolution Avid Workflow
An example of a single resolution Avid workflow with Capture consists of two actions.
The Capture action and a Flip action.
Configure the actions to create a single resolution Avid Capture workflow:
1. Configure the Capture action Primary Output to use a TIFO container set with the
video essence (AVC Intra, DNxHD, DNxHR, DV25, DVCPro, DVCProHD, IMX, XAVC,
XDCAM 4:2:0, or XDCAM 4:2:2) that you desire to check into Interplay.
2. The Flip action allows the user to select the Interplay Advanced Encoder. This action
will take the TIFO file generated by Capture and Direct Convert it (no transcoding
needed). If using the Interplay Single-Res container you will need to include the
Interplay and Avid shared storage data, and have its decoder set to TIFO. The MOB
ID is automatically generated.
Note: The codec used within the TIFO file created by Capture must match the Direct
Convert option selected within the Interplay Advanced Encoder.
