Configuring an Audio Track

To open the audio track configuration dialog, click the Edit This Track pencil icon
the track you want to configure. You can change configuration dialog settings to
configure the track as described below.

Name—Specifies the name of the audio track.
Language—Specifies the language to use for this track. (Does not affect final output).
Audio Service—Specifies the audio service label to use for this track: Primary | Sec-
ondary | Commentary | Music. (Does not affect final output).
Description—Select a description to use for the Audio Track. The descriptions are
created and edited in the Settings dialog > Audio Descriptions tab of Live Stream.
Default—Enable to set the audio track as the default. When enabled, this track is
the one used first when you select the input source to preview. You can select a dif-
ferent Audio Track to use for the preview from the menu in the upper right of the
Sources panel. Setting a track to Default also marks it as the settings to use for the
Channel Assignment of the output. However, the audio encoder setting determines
the actual channel type of Mono, Stereo, or 5.1 to use for the output.
Channel Assignment—Specifies which source channel is assigned to the output
channel. The default for Mono is Center=1; for Stereo is Left=1, Right=2; for Sur-
round (5.1) is Left=1, Right=2, Center=3, LFE=4, Left Surround=5, and Right Sur-
round=6.
AC3 Decompressor—When enabled, AC3 audio embedded in PCM is decoded at
the source level and passed on as PCM, for use directly in the primary or secondary
outputs and the Preview panel of a Live system. The AC3 Decompressor setting
appears in the audio Edit Track panel, where you can enable it. After the AC3 Decom-
pressor is enabled, the affected source's Live Source process restarts automatically.
