MPEG2-TS Output
MPEG-2
General
Bit Rate. Specifies the video bit rate (in kbps). Between 512 and 300,000.
GOP Structure. Sets the GOP Structure as a combination of I frames, B frames, and P
frames. I frame-only structures have a lower visual quality but are well suited for
editing. Longer GOP structures have higher visual quality and are best suited for
playout.
GOP Configuration. Specifies the type of GOP structure: Open GOP or Closed GOP.
Start with I Frame. When checked, specifies that the GOP start with an I-frame (display
and coded order).
Motion Estimation Factor. Indicates how much motion estimation to use when
encoding the video stream. A higher value results in higher quality and increases the
encode time. The default is 80 and the range is 1 to 100.
Profile. Specifies the MPEG profile to use during encoding: High | Main | 4:2:2.
Level. Specifies the MPEG level to use during encoding: High | High 1440 | Main.
Video Performance Setting. Indicates the video quality setting to use when encoding
the video stream. A higher value results in higher quality and increases the encode
time. The default is 9 and the range is 0 to 31.
MPEG Encoder Version. Specifies the MainConcept MPEG encoder version to use, or
set to Auto.
Video Buffer Verifier
Video Buffer Verifier. Specifies how to configure Video Buffer Verifier buffer size and
delay settings:
- Do not specify VBV settings
- Specify VBV settings. When Specify VBV Settings specified, configure these settings:
VBV Buffer Size. Specifies the size of the VBV buffer in kbps. Larger values allow the
encoder greater flexibility during encoding.
VBV Delay. Specifies how much time is allowed between the transmission of the first
frame and its actual decode. Larger values allow the encoder greater flexibility during
encoding.
x264
Profile. Baseline | Main | High | High 10 | High 4:2:2
Bit Rate (in kbps). Specifies the target bit rate (512 - 50,000).
