Record
When Time-Shift is NOT enabled—Starts recording of the channel at the current
time.
When Time-Shift is enabled, and the Timeline Slider's playhead is in the Live
position (fully to the right at zero)—Starts recording of the channel at the current
timecode displayed in the Preview window.
Or, When the Timeline Slider's playhead has been positioned to the left of zero—
Starts recording of the channel at the timecode selected on the Timeline. This
allows Record to go back in time and grab frames contained in the Time-Shift
buffer. Use the frame-step forward or backward buttons to select an exact time-
code.
Note: File durations are restricted to a maximum of 9 hours. Opened-ended manual
recording will stop automatically at 9 hours.

Note: When you have just used the new Live Capture web application and then
switched to using the Capture Classic version, some controls may be grayed-out and
not be operational. If you wait for 10 to 15 seconds after you stop using the new Live
Capture web application and before you start using the Classic version, the Classic
controls should be operational.
Using Advanced Record, you can start a recording from an explicit Start timecode and
stop based on an explicit Stop timecode, or after an explicit Duration. Use the Record
Duration option to select whether to stop on a timecode or for a specific duration.
Select the down-arrow on the Record button
to open the Advanced Record dialog.
