The following topics explain log files and provide other troubleshooting and service
information.

Log Files for Live Capture

Log files can provide valuable information about the operation of Lightspeed Live
Capture. The following describes how to access the log files and how to change the
information they contain.

Accessing the Log Files

The Lightspeed Live Capture log files are available and configurable as follows:

Changing Log Content Settings

The information created in the log files can be changed by editing settings in the
configuration files that control logging file generation.
CAUTION: Before making changes to the configuration files, make backups by
copying the existing files and saving them to a safe location.
The configuration file names are:
The following fields in the configuration files can be edited to change logging results:
Logging is configured with config files in the Capture componentpac folder (for
example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Telestream\Vantage\Components\Cap-
ture.7.1.5.xxxxxx)
Capture logs are saved to: C:\Windows\System32\config\systempro-
file\AppData\Roaming\Telestream\Capture\
Logging can be customized by changing the config files, for example, "C:\Program
Files (x86)\Telestream\Vantage\Components\Capture.7.1.5.xxxxxx\CaptureRe-
cord.exe.config"
