Array Licensing for Multiple Server Live Capture Systems

The need for array licenses will vary, depending on whether the Vantage domain is
operating on a single server or on multiple servers, which is called a Vantage array.

Vantage and Live Capture Solutions

Array licenses are required on each Vantage and Live Capture server when they are
connected together within a single Vantage Domain.

Vantage domains containing Live Capture servers.

New Vantage Systems Containing Live Capture

Adding Live Capture to an Existing Vantage Domain Array

Live Capture server licenses automatically include an array license instance as part
of your purchase of the Live Capture server. No additional purchase is required for
these servers.
All Vantage servers joined together with Live Capture servers within a single
domain require an array license to be purchased for each Vantage server.
Example 1: A brand new system consisting of two Lightspeed Live Capture servers
and two Vantage servers that are joined into a single domain requires a total of four
array licenses. For this system you order two array licenses for the Vantage servers
and receive a domain license file containing array license instances for all four serv-
ers; two purchased for the Vantage servers and two included with your Lightspeed
Live Capture servers.
Example 2: A brand new system consisting of five Lightspeed Live Capture servers
and three Vantage servers that are joined into a single domain requires a total of
eight array licenses. For this system you order three array licenses for the Vantage
servers and receive a domain license file containing array license instances for all
eight servers; three purchased for the Vantage servers and five included with your
Lightspeed Live Capture servers.
Example: If you are adding one or more Lightspeed Live Capture servers to an
existing Vantage domain that already has array licensing for the Vantage servers, no
additional array licenses need to be ordered. For these types of systems you will
need to have the existing Vantage domain license updated to include Live Capture
and an associated array license for each Live Capture server added to it.
