Recurring Segment Trigger

The Recurring Segment trigger enables you to capture files of the duration specified in
the Capture action workflow. The available durations are a 5 minutes (default), 10, 15,
20, or 30 minutes, or 1 hour. The Recurring Segment trigger record start is controlled in
the Live Capture web app, unless Begin recording on workflow activation is selected, in
which case, the recording starts as soon as you activate the workflow.
The first and last segments captured could be a shorter time than the specified
duration, depending on when the recording start and stop commands are initiated. The
captured files are frame accurate, so the files can be played continuously from one to
the next with no dropped or added frames.
When capturing a recurring segment, Capture tries to start new segments at the exact
start of a minute, and the job name reflects this with a naming convention "record-
HH:MM:SS:00." If it is not possible to record a full-length segment, the name will reflect
an estimate of the time required, and the delineation for seconds will be omitted from
the name ("record-HH:MM:SS").
The Timed Recording option does not apply to Recurring Segments, and is not
available. See
Record dialog options.
