Creating Capture & Tape Action Workflows
103
Creating and Activating the Capture Action Workflow
- The files must be located on the Lightspeed Live server where Capture is installed.
Leader. When enabled, the Leader file is written to the front of your captured file. The
selected file must be under 30 seconds long.
Note: When Create Output file(s) at Job Start is enabled (see below) and a Leader is to
be written, Time-Shift should be set to be 5 seconds longer than the Leader's duration.
Filler. When enabled, the Filler file is written to your captured file when the OUT button
is selected in the Capture Classic web application or when the EditOUT command is
executed via the Web API. Typically, this is a looping video used during breaks in live
action.
Note: For details on the Web API see the
Lightspeed Live Capture Web API Reference
at the bottom of the Live Support page on the Telestream
website.
Trailer. When enabled, the Trailer file will be written to the end of your captured file.
The selected file must be under 30 seconds long.
Time-Shift. When a Capture workflow is activated with Time-Shift enabled, the source
input's media frames are stored in a FIFO RAM buffer. This allows Lightspeed Live
Capture to reach back in time and access media processed in the past based on the
value of the Time-Shift field. Since Live Capture's Time-Shift is always processing a
source input's media frames, when recording is initiated, any media frame stored in the
Time-Shift buffer is available to be added to the captured file.
The number of seconds set for Time-Shift in Capture actions associated with this source
should be less than or equal to the Max Time-Shift set in the Source Manager. See
Managing and Configuring Sources in the Lightspeed Live User Guide for more
information on setting Max Time-Shift.
Timecode Override Enable. Check to enable override of the Input Source timecode
with the one you enter in the Timecode Override control. When enabled, Timecode
Override will override the Input Source timecode during a capture with the one
specified and put this timecode at the beginning of the output file.
Timecode Override. A timecode value. Enter the timecode to put at the beginning of
the output file when Timecode Override Enable is checked.
Ignore lost frames. When enabled, allows a capture to continue recording if a loss of
signal or lost frame is encountered. If disabled, the capture will stop when it encounters
the loss of signal or lost frame. For LOS details, see Loss of Signal Behavior in the
Lightspeed Live Capture User Guide.
