How to control the drive through the I/O interface

The table below describes how to operate the drive through the digital and analog
inputs when:
• the motor start-up is performed, and
• the default parameter settings of the ABB standard macro are in use.
If you need to change the direction of rotation, check
that limits allow reverse direction: Go to Menu -
Primary settings - Limits and make sure that the
minimum limit has a negative value and the maximum
limit has a positive value.
Make sure that the control connections are wired
according to the connection diagram given for the ABB
standard macro.
Make sure that the drive is in remote control. Press
key
to switch between remote and local
Loc/Rem
control.
Starting and controlling the speed of the motor
Start by switching digital input DI1 on.
The arrow starts rotating. It is dotted until the setpoint
is reached.
Regulate the drive output frequency (motor speed) by
adjusting voltage of analog input AI1.
Changing the direction of the motor rotation
Reverse direction: Switch digital input DI2 on.
Forward direction: Switch digital input DI2 off.
