HEARING AID COMPATIBILITY
NEC Multiline Terminals and NEC Single Line Telephones that are provided for this system are hearing
aid compatible. The manufacturer of other Single Line Telephones for use with the system must provide
notice of hearing aid compatibility to comply with FCC rules that now prohibit the use of non-hearing aid
compatible telephones.
MUSIC ON HOLD
"In accordance with U.S. Copyright Law, a license may be required from the American Society of
Composers, Authors and Publishers, or other similar organization, if radio or TV broadcasts are
transmitted through the Music On Hold feature of this telecommunication system. EC Corporation of
America hereby disclaims any liability arising out of the failure to obtain such a license."
RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE
In compliance with FCC Part 15 rules, the following statement is provided:
"This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used
in accordance with the System Hardware Manual, may cause interference to radio communications.
This equipment has been tested and approved for compliance with the limits for a Class A computing
device pursuant to subpart J of Part 15 of FCC Rules, that are designed to provide reasonable
protection against such interference when operated in a commercial environment. Operation of this
telephone system in a residential area is likely to cause interference, in which case, the user, at his or
her own expense, is required to take whatever measures may be required to correct the interference."
