Fluid Pump Assembly Removal
Reference: "Control Valve Body Assembly Removal".
Special tool
J 45053 Universal Clamp Press
1. Rotate the transmission assembly so the fluid pump
is facing up.
2. Remove the 8 fluid pump bolts.
NOTE
Do not damage the stator shaft bushing.
3. Using J 45053, remove the fluid pump assembly
from the transmission case.
Reference: "Second Coast Clutch Disassemble".
Automatic Transmission:
Second Coast, Second Clutch Hub and
Second Clutch Sprag Assembly Removal
Reference: "Fluid Pump Assembly Removal".
Remove the 2nd coast clutch hub/outer race and 2nd
coast clutch hub (11) and washer (226).
Reference: "Second Coast, Second Clutch Hub and
Second Clutch Sprag Disassemble".
Torque Converter Housing Removal
Reference: "Second Coast, Second Clutch Hub and
Second Clutch Sprag Assembly Removal".
NOTE
Do not interchange the 30 mm torque
converter housing bolts with the 28 mm fluid
pump bolts.
1. Remove the 17 torque converter housing cover
bolts/screws.
