How to Replace PCI Cards

Use the procedure in this section for either of the following purposes:
• To replace a failed PCI card
• To remove PCI cards from a failed T1100 AS chassis and place them in a
replacement T1100 AS chassis
Procedure 7-12. Replace a PCI Card
1.
Do one of the following:
• If this procedure is being performed to move PCI cards from a failed
T1100 AS chassis to the replacement T1100 AS chassis, skip to the next
step.
• If this procedure is being performed to replace a failed PCI card, ensure
that the following have been done:
— An RMA has been obtained (see Procedure B-1, "Obtaining an RMA,"
—A spare PCI card is available. Inspect the replacement card and

shipping container for indications of damage. If damage is noted,
contact the project manager or report damage to the carrier. Ensure
that the contents in the shipping container are complete; notify the
project manager or the Customer Care Center of any discrepancies. In
particular, verify that the contents include:
A part number label on the replacement PCI card (see Figure 7-19)
