Serial Communication

Each MPS server has two onboard serial ports. Serial port A is the Console port
and serial port B is connected by a null-modem cable to serial port A on the mate
MPS server.
The lower ELAP or EPAP server is configured with an additional 8 serial ports in
a multiport PCI serial port card.
