15. Repeat steps 5 through 14 for all combinations of Vertical Scale and
Horizontal Scale settings listed in the test record.
16. For MSO/DPO5204 and MSO/DPO5104 models only, repeat the tests at 1
MΩ impedance as follows:
a. Change the calibrator impedance to 1 MΩ.
b. Push the front-panel Vertical Menu button.
c. Set the Termination to 1 MΩ.
d. Repeat steps 5 through 15.
17. Repeat the procedure for all remaining channels as follows:
a. Push the front-panel button to deselect the channel that you have already
tested.
b. Push the front-panel button to select the next channel to be tested.
c. Move the calibrator connection to the channel input to be tested.
d. Starting from step 4, repeat the procedure until all channels have been
tested.
18. Press the Menu Off button.
This test checks random noise at 50 Ω and 1 M Ω for each channel. You do not
need to connect any test equipment to the oscilloscope for this test.
1. Disconnect everything from the oscilloscope inputs.
2. Push the front-panel Default Setup button.
3. Turn Gating off as follows:
a. Push the front-panel Wave Inspector Measure button.
b. In the Measurement Setup window, click the More button and then select
Gating.
c. Ensure that Off (Full Record) is selected.
4. Select the RMS measurement as follows:
a. Push the front-panel Wave Inspector Measure button.
b. In the Measurement Setup window, select the RMS measurement.
c. Ensure that the channel being tested is selected in the Channels box.
