Performance Tests (MSO/DPO5000 Series)

Prerequisites
MSO70000/C, DSA70000B/C, DPO7000B/C, DPO7000, MSO5000, DPO5000 Series
This section contains a collection of manual procedures for checking that the
instrument performs as warranted. They check all the characteristics that are
designated as checked in Specifications. (The characteristics that are checked
appear with a
in Specifications).
The tests in this section comprise an extensive, valid confirmation of performance
and functionality when the following requirements are met:
The cabinet must be installed on the instrument.
You must have performed and passed the procedures under Self Test. (See
page 4-26, Self Test.)
A signal-path compensation must have been done within the recommended
calibration interval and at a temperature within ±5 ºC (±9 ºF) of the present
operating temperature. (If at the time you did the prerequisite Self Test, the
temperature was within the limits just stated, consider this prerequisite met).
A signal-path compensation must have been done at an ambient humidity
within 25% of the current ambient humidity and after having been at that
humidity for at least 4 hours.
The instrument must have been last adjusted at an ambient temperature
between +18 ºC (+64 ºF) and +28 ºC (+82 ºF), must have been operating for a
warm-up period of at least 20 minutes, and must be operating at an ambient
temperature as listed in the specifications. (See Table 2-10 on page 2-17.)
(The warm-up requirement is usually met in the course of meeting the Self
Test prerequisites listed above).
Support sensor, probe, and adapter setups to avoid stress or torque when
connected to the device under test (DUT).
