12.3 Count Clock

The 8-bit timer uses the prescaler output clock as the count clock. The prescaler generates 15 different clocks by di-
viding the PCLK clock into 1/1 to 1/16 K divisions. One of these is selected by the DF[3:0] bit (D[3:0]/T8F_CLK
register).

Note: • The prescaler must run before the 8-bit timer.
• Make sure the 8-bit timer count is halted before changing count clock settings.
