2-1-5 Transfer/Separation section
(1) Transfer belt unit section
The transfer belt unit section consists of the transfer belt, transfer roller and the separation brush. To the
transfer roller, DC bias is applied from the high voltage PWB (HVPWB). The toner image formed on the drum
is transferred to the paper by the potential difference and the paper is separated by curvature separation.
Also with the ID sensors (IDS), the toner density on the transfer belt is measured.
