PROGRAMMABLE CAM SWITCH NOT FOR SAFETY USE
Use SmartPAC 2's programmable cam switch only to control auxiliary functions. The
SmartPAC 2 programmable cam capability should never be used to provide timing signals
for any safety use, including clutch/brake control or muting of light curtains.
Failure to comply with these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
Find instructions for running the press at the end of this chapter, starting on page 364.
In Run mode, you can adjust the timing signals for each programmed cam channel. To adjust
cam timings for the loaded tool number:
1.
Select "Cam switch" from the main Run menu (Figure 6 - 7).

You will see a display showing the list of cam channels, Cam Switch menu, shown in
the previous figure. If you assigned names for your cam channels in Initialization mode,
you will see the names, otherwise the list will say channel 1, channel 2, etc. Some
channels will not appear on the list. Channels that are not programmed for this tool do
not appear, and any channels programmed as Global cams also will not appear. See
"SET GLOBAL CAMS," page 216 for more information.
3.
Select the channel number you want to change.
