PROGRAMMABLE CAM SWITCH NOT FOR SAFETY USE
Use SmartPAC 2's programmable cam switch only to control auxiliary functions. The
SmartPAC 2 programmable cam capability should never be used to provide timing signals
for any safety use, including clutch/brake control or muting of light curtains.
Failure to comply with these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF TIMED AND AUTO ADVANCE CHANNELS PER TOOL
Each tool can have
• Up to 2 Auto Advance cam channels
and
• Up to 4 timed output cam channels.
NOTICE
DO NOT USE CAM CHANNEL 6, 7 OR 8 WHEN USING THE ASSOCIATED BATCH
COUNTERS
Cam channels 6, 7 and 8 are also used for batch counters 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
To use cam switch, you need to:
• Select "Cam switch" from the Main Programming menu
• Select a channel, select the type of timing (on-off, auto, or timed) and make an output
settings for it
• Repeat for the other channels you want to use.
