Initialize WPC Press Parameters
NOTICE
INITIALIZE PRESS PARAMETERS BEFORE PROGRAMMING YOUR NEW
SMARTPAC 2/WPC
When you set up a new SmartPAC with WPC be sure to initialize the press parameters
before you start programming your unit.
NOTICE
RECORD YOUR WPC SETTINGS BEFORE YOU INSTALL NEW WPC FIRMWARE AND
INITIALIZE WPC (PRESS) PARAMETERS
Use the WPC Parameters setup sheets at the end of this manual to record the parameters
before you initialize WPC parameters. See Chapter 2, page 101.
NOTICE
Initializing the press control parameters resets them to their default settings. Initialize the
press parameters only when you set up a new SmartPAC 2 with WPC or install new WPC
firmware.
When you first set up your SmartPAC 2 with WPC or when you install new WPC firmware,
initialize the press parameters by following the steps below. If you install new WPC
firmware in an existing system, record the WPC (Press) parameters before you install the
new firmware. Re-enter the parameters after you re-initialize the WPC (Press) parameters.
See Chapter 3 for help using the SmartPAC 2 keyboard and displays.

SELECT = HIGHLIGHT + ENTER
When this manual says "select," it means highlight the item and press ENTER.

Go to Initialization mode: Turn the Prog/Run key toward Prog. Press and hold down
both the "1" and CLEAR keys about one second, until the Initialization menu appears,
Figure 2 - 29 (see "How to Enter and Exit Initialization Mode," page 203). Select
PRESS CONTROL. The following screen appears.
