PREPARATI O N:
Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from the battery,
Ai r b ag Sensor Assembl y (a)
and wait at least for 90 seconds.
(b) Remove lhe sleering wheel pad (See page SR-1 1).
(c) Disconnect the connector of the front passenger airbag
assembly (See page R$-27).
(d)
Disconnect the connector of the side airbag a�sembly RH
and LH (See page R&-40).
(e) Disconnect the connector of the seat belt pretensioner
RH and LH (See
(f)
Disconnect the connectors of the airbag sensor assembly
(See page R8-53).
Disconnect the connector of the front airbag sensor RH
(g)
and
LH
(h) Disconnect the connector of the side airbag sensor as­
sembly RH and LH (See page RS--13 3 ).
Disconnect the connector of the door side airbag sensor

CAUTI O N:
RH and LH (See page RS--13 8 ).
Store the steeri n g wheel pad, front passenger al r bag as­
sembl y and si d e al r bag asseml b y wi t h the front surface
faci n g upward.
