PREPARATI O N:
Disconnect the engine coolant temp. sensor connector.
(a)
CHECK: Turn the ignnlon switch ON.
(b)
Read temperature value on the OBD
hand-held tester. OK: Temparat u r e val u e:-40" C ( -
B Repl a ce en g i n e cool a nt temp. aensor .
PREPARATI O N:
Remove the ECM cover.
(a)
Disconnect the E4 connector of the ECM.
(b)
HINT:
Engine coolant temp. sensor connector is disconnected.
(c) Turn the ignition switch ON.
CHECK:
Read temperature value on the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA
hand-held tester.
OK: Tempa r a t u re va l u e: -40" C ( -40 " F)
